Obama - Sadly Wrong on Health Care Reform!

I've written about it already so I'm only going to recap.
The problem with so called "health care" is greed and ignorance.
The Health industry is greedy and ignore natural and inexpensive solutions.
The Agriculture industry supports the "health" industry by poisoning the populace.
"Health" industry and Agriculture industry workers (primarily upity ups) are getting rich by poisoning, mutilating, defrauding and bankrupting the general population.
Healthy food, preventive care, less greed and a bit of exercise and most of our problems will be solved.
See elsewhere (here - or on the UBU main site) for a fuller exposition of this idea.
No policy that fails to address greed and poisoning will succeed - except to make our people sicker and poorer and our "health" industry bigger, richer and even less effective and more dangerous. Health and Agriculture - today - they just don't make sense.

UTI, SAD & You - The Victim of Other's Mad Excesses

I saw the other day that some web-article about UTI's on some “mom’s” website linked to me, and I thought that was pretty cool (so thanks to all the moms) – even though I really have no idea what that actually means, (that they linked to me) but I went to read the article and comments that were linked to my article).

http://blogs.babycenter.com/momformation/2008/06/06/babes-blog-week-40-the-squeaky-wheel/comment-page-1/#comment-2221665

One thing that stuck out to me was that everyone was accepting the “official” medical prognosis and remedy without considering any other alternative view of the issue, as if there were no alternative to the “official” view.

It doesn't matter what ailment you are looking at, by the time there are websites devoted to it, a lot of people are hurting.

Even more sadly they are hurting needlessly!

That is because the “official” view is unscientific, archaic, barbaric and mercenary, not to mention unhealthy and promoting of further health issues.

Comment after comment was about the pain and other obstacles of this problem, which could be remedied quickly and easily - except for that not being in the financial interest of the “Approved” health, diet and product regulators, advisors, manufacturers, advertisers and distributors.

Most sadly, it even seems of little concern to the consumers, the ones who are being ripped off, poisoned and often (essentially) murdered.

(generally speaking, that likely would be… YOU )

Anyway, just as a thinking point perhaps, I decided to post here what I posted there and expand and generalize on it a bit.

While some genetic predispositions to weakness now days most often come into play regarding getting ill (or worse) the ability for such genetic predispositions to come into play is almost exclusively because the two primary issues are in our culture, routinely violated.

The S.A.D.* and counter - hygienic behaviors (including the effect of fabrics, chemicals in soaps, sprays, foodstuffs and the environment) are the causes of these issues.

Without the nutrition deficient, poison rich stuff we consider food, air and water, most often coupled with lack of exercise (or lack of appropriate exercise.)

The medical procedures and the other negative effects of an already (diet) weakened body attempting to defend itself simply do not present themselves to be issues if a person practices logical diet and hygiene.

I think it is very disappointing that our media and Government and supposedly self-governing professional associations or social organizations (AMA, APA, FDA, FCC, FBI, etc.) fail to educate honestly, often outright promoting the toxic behaviors and products that cause a “medical complaint” to exist at all.

My sympathies go out to all who suffer needlessly.

A little education and practicing good hygiene in most cases would eliminate the problem before it could occur.

I am pleasantly amazed and not a bit suspicious that lately the Federal Government is urging more raw fruits and vegetables in our diets, lots more than they used to.

Still, advertising, no longer required to comply with "truth in advertising" laws and allowed to take what used to be called "payola" (which, if you got caught doing it back then, would send you to prison) has, well…advertising is what makes the "entertainment" (some call it pickling) happen at all.

No matter what it seems, the flow of advertising dollars must not stop!

There is a general opposition to "simple" answers, and often perhaps the issues are so complex that an overly generalized, simple solution would not be appropriate, but I suspect that all the individual issues that add up to the "complex" of issues are issues which could be resolved easily with relatively "simple" solutions.

The biggest problem with the "simple" solution is that it requires someone(s) who will genuinely make the effort to take a deep, sincere and insightful look at the individual and their personal issues, and then actually take the steps to implement those solutions including follow through (most people's biggest obstacle).

When we are lacking the "will power" to take the steps necessary in moderating our thoughts and behaviors to productive levels and reduce the waste of our own human resource by eating and exercising logically, honestly and consistently, we suddenly get to take advantage of the amazing ability of the human body (like Nature) to heal itself.

As long as we are still pouring toxic materials into our bodies and environments and failing to attend to at least minimal use and maintenance (of ourselves), we cannot really expect our descent into illness to reverse self.

However, and I don’t really care how many MD’s or DDS’s or DVM’s or DC’s, etc. disagree – since their patients never get better and mine do (generally after failing to get results with all of the aforementioned “health professionals”), the facts are that you can get well and you don’t have to spend lots of money or take dangerous pills or do really much of anything to be healthy and vibrant except to cleanse your system of accumulated toxins and debris and pursue a clean diet and moderate activity (or exercise).

One thing to consider though is that you will need to do for the Earth the same things you are doing for yourself – and until a lot more people get on board, it will not seem like much is changing for the World, but for you individually – what a different life you will have – right away!

PS.

As for my 31 years healing people – after they couldn’t get any help elsewhere – I find that about 98% of my patients feel 100% better right away and the other 2% feel 98% better – and – their (other MD) specialists decide that they suddenly, for no discernable reason no longer need spinal fusion, disk surgery, hip and knee replacements; they no longer need ANY drugs or have cancer, seizure disorders, etc., etc., etc.

[I am very cautious about weaning people off pharmaceuticals and do not recommend a sudden withdrawal for anyone – and I do not recommend trying it on your own – seek the assistance of a health professional who will do their research!]

FEMALE HEART ATTACKS

NURSE'S HEART ATTACK EXPERIENCE

I am an ER nurse and this is the best description of this event that I have ever heard. Please read, pay attention, and send it on!

I was aware that female heart attacks are different, but this is the best description I've ever read.

Women and heart attacks (Myocardial infarction).

Did you know that women rarely have the same dramatic symptoms that men have when experiencing heart attack…you know, the sudden stabbing pain in the chest, the cold sweat, grabbing the chest & dropping to the floor that we see in the movies. Here is the story of one woman's experience with a heart attack.

'I had a heart attack at about 10:30 PM with NO prior exertion, NO prior emotional trauma that one would suspect might have brought it on. I was sitting all snugly & warm on a cold evening, with my purring cat in my lap, reading an20interesting story my friend had sent me, and actually thinking, 'A-A-h, this is the life, all cozy and warm in my soft, cushy Lazy Boy with my feet propped up.

A moment later, I felt that awful sensation of indigestion, when you've been in a hurry and grabbed a bite of sandwich and washed it down with a dash of water, and that hurried bite seems to feel like you've swallowed a golf ball going down the esophagus in slow motion and it is most uncomfortable. You realize you shouldn't have gulped it down so fast and needed to chew it more thoroughly and this time drink a glass of water to hasten its progress down to the stomach. This was my initial sensation---the only trouble was that I hadn't taken a bite of anything since about 5:00 p.m.

After it seemed to subside, the next sensation was like little squeezing motions that seemed to be racing up my SPINE (hind-sight, it was probably my aorta spasms), gaining speed as they continued racing up and under my sternum (breast bone, where one presses rhythmically when administering CPR).

This fascinating process continued on into my throat and branched out into both jaws. 'AHA!! NOW I stopped puzzling about what was happening -- we all have read and/or heard about pain in the jaw s being one of the signals of an MI happening, haven't we? I said aloud to myself and the cat, Dear God, I think I'm having a heart attack!

I lowered the foot rest dumping the cat from my lap, started to take a step and fell on the floor instead. I thought to myself, 'If this is a heart attack, I shouldn't be walking into the next room where the phone is or anywhere else ... but, on the other hand, if I don't, nobody will know that I need help, and if I wait any longer I may not be able to get up in a moment.'

I pulled myself up with the arms of the chair, walked slowly into the next room and dialed the Paramedics. I told her I thought I was having a heart attack due to the pressure building under the sternum and radiating into my jaws. I didn't feel hysterical or afraid, just stating the facts. She said she was sending the Paramedics over immediately, asked if the front door was near to me, and if so, to un-bolt the door and then lie down on the floor where they could see me when they came in.

I unlocked the door and then laid down on the floor as instructed and lost consciousness, as I don't remember the medics coming in, their examination, lifting me onto a gurney or getting me into their ambulance, or hearing the call they made to St. Jude ER on the way, but I did briefly awaken when we arrived and saw that the radiologist was already there in his surgical blues and cap, helping the medics pull my stretcher out of the ambulance. He was bending over me asking questions (probably something like 'Have you taken any medications?') but I couldn't make my mind interpret what he was saying, or form an answer, and nodded off again, not waking up until the Cardiologist and partner had already threaded the teeny angiogram balloon up my femoral artery into the aorta and into my heart where they installed 2 side by side stints to hold open my right coronary artery..

'I know it sounds like all my thinking and actions at home must have taken at least 20-30 minutes before calling the paramedics, but actually it took perhaps 4-5 minutes before the call, and both the fire station and St. Jude are only minutes away from my home, and my Cardiologist was already to go to the OR in his scrubs and get going on restarting my heart (which had stopped somewhere between my arrival and the procedure) and installing the stints.

Why have I written all of this to you with so much detail? Because I want all of you who are so important in my life to know what I learned first hand.

1. Be aware that something very different is happening in your body not the usual men's symptoms but inexplicable things happening (until my sternum and jaws got into the act). It is said that many more women than men die of their first (and last) MI because they didn't know they were having one and commonly mistake it as indigestion, take some Maalox or other anti-heartburn preparation and go to bed, hoping they'll feel better in the morning when they wake up... which doesn't happen..

My female friends, your symptoms might not be exactly like mine, so I advise you to call the Paramedics if ANYTHING is unpleasantly happening that you've not felt before. It is better to have a 'false alarm' visitation than to risk your life guessing what it might be!

2. Note that I said 'Call the Paramedics.' And if you can take an aspirin. Ladies, TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!

Do NOT try to drive y ourself to the ER - you are a hazard to others on the road.

Do NOT have your panicked husband who will be speeding and looking anxiously at what's happening with you instead of the road.

Do NOT call your doctor -- he doesn't know where you live and if it's at night you won't reach him anyway, and if it's daytime, his assistants (or answering service) will tell you to call the Paramedics. He doesn't carry the equipment in his car that you need to be saved! The Paramedics do, principally OXYGEN that you need ASAP. Your doctor will be notified later.

3. Don't assume it couldn't be a heart attack because you have a normal cholesterol count. Research has discovered that a cholesterol elevated reading is rarely the cause of an MI (unless it's unbelievably high and/or accompanied by high blood pressure).. MIs are usually caused by long-term stress and inflammation in the body, which dumps all sorts of deadly hormones into your system to sludge things up in there.

Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep.

Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know the better chance we could survive.

A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this mail sends it to 10 people, you can be sure that we'll save at least one life.

**Please be a true friend and send this article to all your friends (male & female) you care about!**

Eating Herbs

A Reader's Letter:

Tuesday, December 14, 1999 11:03 AM
Hi Dr. Lowrey

So sorry I haven't got back to you before this. I don't have my own computer, I use my daughters, so I don't get my E-Mail everyday.

Just looked at you heal-naturally site. Do you use herbs? I'm not a Beliver in taking prescription drugs. The only thing I take is an aspirin every now and then.

Hope everything is well for you and yours. Happy Holidays to you also.

Laura
Bakersfield, California

Dr. Lowrey Responds:

Hi Laura,

Well, I don’t generally prescribe herbs as such. I am opposed (in principle – not always in practice) to using vitamins and herbs as substitutes for medicines. I prefer to use whole foods in a proscriptive effort to “be well” and “stay well”. Essentially, I follow a “wellness” approach to health rather than an abuse/repair approach.

Unfortunately, there are a couple problems with my personal philosophy.

One is that practically everyone else follows the abuse/repair philosophy, so I find myself fixing, fixing, fixing.

I often prescribe a supplement therapy to augment my energy treatments.

Sometimes this may involve herbs, but I have to do research, as I am not an herbalist per se.

Still, I have had great results from practicing herbal treatment. I certainly believe that we should have plenty of herbs and grasses as a regular part of our diet to maintain health and prevent dis-ease.

This brings me to problem number two.

That is that while I hold to the ideal of all energy producing and health maintaining nutrition coming from “whole” foods, the facts are that our soils are so depleted, our air and water are so polluted and toxic (and I mean life-threateningly poisonous) that our foods have little value except as a stimulant and quite often are dangerous.

Add to this the agricultural additives, growth hormones, chemical fertilizers, pesticides, antibiotics, putrefactive, diseased animal renderings (liquefied dogs, cats, chickens, cows, sheep etc.) and waste products (urine and feces) as feed and fertilizers and It becomes apparent (to me) that our food needs help and we require supplementation to restore lost nutrition and detoxifiers to neutralize poisons and eliminate bacteria and viral products.

I’m sure you recall the problems of the last few years related to health dangers from eating beef fed on chicken manure and rendered dogs and cats and Mad Cow Disease (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy), in the US called Creutzfeldt-Jacob Disease, caused by consuming flesh fed on rendered (liquefied) animals.

Also this last year I read of a couple other interesting health/food issues.

One was the harvesting and marketing of Oranges in California that contained absolutely 0% vitamin C.

The other was a sampling of mothers milk in Los Angeles.

The milk was found to contain significantly dangerous amounts of DDT, a chemical banned in the United States for over 20 years now.

It was concluded the DDT was obtained by eating US beef that was fed on imported (from Mexico in this case) feed products.

So the feed contained the DDT. It was absorbed by the flesh of the beef. It was absorbed by the cells of the consumer, transmitted to her milk glands (as well as all her other body and brain cells) and ended up poisoning the baby who drank “natures perfect food”, mothers milk!

DDT remember, accumulates in cells. It is not water-soluble. It stays in our body our entire lifetime.

Well, there are many more examples.

MCD, by the way, our nation declares does not exist in the USA, but it does; just by another name - CJD. We had 6 deaths in Utah this past year from CJD, apparently all from eating “safe” wild deer.

We are also finding dogs and cats with CJD here in the US. Here’s an interesting experiment. Go to your local grocery store and read the pet food labels on all the dry food. I never buy wet food, so I haven’t looked there, but it’s probably the same.

See how many pet foods you can find that do not contain “animal digest”. I usually can find “ONE” that doesn’t. This holds true for all those pricey pet foods at the pet superstores too!

What is animal digest? Well, it’s poop! The dreaded chicken poop, as well as other animal feces.

It’s good for rapid weight gain. And death, of course.

Poultry by products and Animal by products generally mean ground chicken feathers (for protein) and rendered chickens, dogs and cats.

Yup, we are feeding our dogs and cats other dogs and cats. Pretty disgusting, huh? But it’s good for profits.

Interestingly in this case, the beef “growers” involved not only claimed that this dependence on foreign feed, not subject to US agricultural standards was widespread in the industry, but also refused the idea of changing to US grown feeds because of the savings in using foreign feed – in spite of the proven health dangers disclosed to them.

Apparently, they felt that if it didn’t kill you instantly, it was safe enough to please them and their profit margin.

For these reasons I have spent my short lifetime in research of health products, learning to distinguish between those that will actually benefit the body and those which simply enrich the seller, the pharmacist and the surgeon.

Luckily for me, my Grandfather, Dr. Murray Limbocker, D.C., was one of the earliest researchers into health products and I benefited tremendously from my youthful observation of his research. I feel he gave me a tremendous scientific and philosophical head start.

At any rate, the products that I use and recommend are as close to whole foods as possible. They must be clean and bio-available (digestible, covalently bonded and ionic or colloidal in particulate structure) and naturally occurring or compounds composed of naturally occurring products.

The major supplemental food product I recommend is Spirulina algae.

Also, I recommend an ionic or colloidal multi-mineral from a "vegetable" source and vitamin C (with bioflavinoids).

I also recommend a daily dose of flax oil (raw, can't cook with it, but you can put it on cooked food) and "authentic" colloidal silver. (I treat this important issue of colloidal silver authenticity elsewhere but you can get good legitimate information here)

Occasionally I will recommend a natural ATP precursor or a natural precursor for neurotransmitters.

This is all, of course to augment a diet high in easily digestible foods, heavy in raw fruits, vegetables and seeds. (sprouted seeds are preferred)

I hope this has answered your question. Please feel free to make further inquiry or just write to say hi.

Best wishes,

Dr. Lowrey

Swine Flu - Biological Weapon?

From: Reclaim.org

[snip]

“Our best intelligence estimate is that pandemic Avian Flu has already been created through genetic engineering in the United States, fusing the deadly genome of the 1918 Pandemic, misnamed the ‘Spanish Flu’, with the DNA of the innocuous H5N1 virus in a growth medium of human kidney cells, according to the National Institutes of Health and the vaccine’s manufacturer.

Some virologists believe that this would insure that the man-made mutant virus recognizes human cells and knows how to invade them,” writes Rima E. Laibow, MD, head of the Natural Solutions Foundation, a citizen watchdog group monitoring the pharmaceutical industry.

Laibow underscores what we stress above: “Given the shockingly obvious lack of any threat from an un-weaponized H5N1 virus, how can we explain the Bush Administration spending billions of dollars preparing each of the 50 States, for what it calls the ‘inevitable Bird Flu pandemic,’ which they say could kill half or more of all Americans and similar numbers of people around the globe?”

Of course, the current swine flu is not H5N1. It is the H1N1 virus.

It is however an odd duckling with a suspicious composition: it contains genes from birds, humans, and pigs from many different continents. It seems that the new strain of swine flu is a synthetic structural recombinant, it therefore is reasonable to assume it came out of a laboratory, specifically a bioweapons laboratory.

As the virus spreads, more and more people — and even a few virologists — believe H1N1 is a human-engineered pathogen. On April 25, the journalist Wayne Madsen wrote:

Our Mexico City source said a top scientist for the United Nations, who has examined the outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus in Africa, as well as HIV/AIDS victims, concluded that H1N1 possesses certain transmission “vectors” that suggest that new flu strain has been genetically-manufactured as a military biological warfare weapon. The UN expert believes that Ebola, HIV/AIDS, and the current A-H1N1 swine flu virus are biological warfare agents.

What can we do when governments (even our own) are open to testing weapons, including bio-weapons on their own populations?

It is no secret that the United States Government tested many bio-weapons on unsuspecting soldiers in the past and knowingly exposes current troops to bio-weapons with apparently no regard for the consequences or sense of responsibility to provide any after care for the many times life-long disabilities that result.

I find it amazing for instance that the Mexican Government will still allow tourists to enter areas that are closed to the public and that the military is handing out surgical masks, even while doctors are announcing that the masks do nothing to prevent the spread of the virus which passes right through the mask.

So, what can you do?

Well, as much as I would like to dis-believe the notion that our government would do such a disgusting thing, this is something that our own government already has a track record for doing.

I find that I can't come up with any reason to not believe it.

What better way to solve our Mexican border issues (none of our other very expensive plans have worked) than to simply kill off a big chunk of the Mexican population?

I personally have not found any solutions to this kind of viral infection other than to do the following, which is what I would do and which has worked for me and others who have tried it over and over in the past.

Still, it has not been tried (to my knowledge) on the current so called "swine" flu.

1) avoid processed foods

2) use only steam distilled water or fresh fruit juice

3) include plenty of vitamin C (I would work my way up from 500 IU to at least 5,000 IU per day - broken up into three doses per day)

4) consume one ounce of colloidal silver (three times per day for the first two weeks) per day.

Now, you have to consider that colloidal silver, while claimed by legitimate research to be at least (if not more) effective than penicillin is not controlled in it's production by any regulatory agency, such as the FDA.

So there are many "scam" products that may not even contain any silver, or that contain silver but with particle size too large to be absorbed by the cells (we've covered this issue before with calcium, etc.) and in this case there is a side effect if you drink gallons of silver rather than the ounce a day I'm speaking of which is to turn your skin gray or blue (but it doesn't hurt you).

Read more about colloidal silver here

Colloidal Silver needs to be made one atom at a time to really be effective. The only way to be sure that you are getting "the real thing" is to make your own. Over years of study, and trials with several colloid generator devices, I have found only one silver generator that makes colloidal silver properly. I guess that would be important.

You can read about it at what I consider the best Colloidal Silver Information site (and order one) here.

5) maximum nutrition is important to fighting virus's (and generally staying alive) and again, if it were me, I would also consume one tablespoon (3 times daily) of spirulina algae. Unfortunately, spirulina is fairly expensive, but Earthrise is a good product grown in the USA. I used to get spirulina from China, but now I'm afraid to get anything from China - especially if I'm going to eat it. You buy spirulina from the health food store. Other green drinks are simply not the same and some are the product of toxic environments.

6) increase calcium intake - I use powdered coral calcium (from an above ground [mined] source).

I find it sadly fascinating that just a few short weeks ago the FDA actually completed a report on culinary water supplies for the whole country and many wells turned out to be toxic well beyond legal limits.

Here in Utah there was a superabundance of nitrates and also radon and arsenic well above legal limits. But what do you think has been done about it?

Nothing.

Do you think anyone has changed their drinking habits?

Or do they just order their jumbo coke and say "Hey, this is guaranteed to give me cancer!"

"I should get some for the kids."

Have you read my book on water? I made it short on purpose, so people with short attention spans would read it. Check the menu on the right for a link to it and prepare to be amazed!

Well, I'm not telling you what to do about the new "swine flu", but I'm telling you what I am doing about it.

And about that "Government"!

What are we going to do about the "real" threat to our health that we call government?

Dr. Price's Faxtor X & Carries

In this article, written in the year 2000, Dr. Lowrey responds to a claim that a “vegan” diet destroyed the teeth of this Mormon woman’s unfortunate children, Mormon scripture being incidental to her claim (God says!) and all that (!), citing as evidence the writings of two 1940’s era Doctors regarding their claims for the essential nature of an animal-fat diet and the evils of a vegan diet which she then parlayed into an pro-meat, anti-vegan perspective regarding the Mormon scripture D&C 89 which describes what the Mormons call the “Word of Wisdom” from God directly, regarding diet.

This “Diet Scripture” has been a matter of minor controversy amongst Mormons for almost 200 years. (mostly because it does say just exactly the opposite of what all the Mormons want it to say – which is “exactly” that, according to “their” God, all people should be vegans, except “to save your lives”, where cannibalizing the plentiful dead [animals only hopefully] would be apparently permissible since as Church President, Hiram Smith explained, the only time appropriate to eat animals would be in the severest famine; that the animals would all be dying then anyway, and it would be no crime before God or man to eat the already dead animals in order to save your own life.)

Aside from a brief aside in paragraph 2, Dr. Lowrey refrains from discussing religion in this paper which pertains to animal vs. vegetable fats, vitamins E, F (so called), Factor X, Activator X, acid-alkaline balance and Dr. Lowrey reveals the “True Source” of both the Mysterious X Factors/Activators which proves to undo the whole deal altogether! And also, as usual, the cows have all the answers!

Note: “Oleo” is what they used to call margarine back when Dr. Lowrey was a kid.

_________________________________________________________

Before I dispute Diane’s claims based on the writings of Dr. Price regarding the inferiority of a vegan diet and the importance of including animal fats in the diet, let me say how sorry I am for her children’s dental problems. While their bad dental health was undoubtedly caused by improper diet, I am certain that it was not due to a lack of animal fats or other animal products.

I would like to introduce a little of my personal family history which I hope will not be too tedious as it does directly relate to the subject of this misunderstanding. So please forgive my style, as the information is important to the case at hand. Since Diane’s claims include her appeal to “revelation” and personal revelatory interpretation of “revelation”, please forgive me if I include a brief encapsulation of some similar experience.

I have been vegetarian since 1977. I undertook a vegetarian diet because of a “revelation” I received during my mission [2 year Mormon "recruiting" mission (1975,6)] regarding this very sec. 89.

I didn’t become a vegetarian right away due to my unwillingness to walk away from my long held mission record for the most dinner appointments, and not wanting to be the cause of great disappointment and financial hardship for my missionary companion, who would have to buy and thaw his own meals if I became a vegetarian while I was setting all the dinner appointments. And I did set them too! I had one each day of the week, two on Saturday and always two, but sometimes three on Sunday, and I was generally booked solid a minimum of two and a half weeks in advance.

We also parlayed every single one of those dinner appointments into new member hunting exercises and became the top baptizing missionaries in Las Vegas. (cheers/jeers) My apologies to anyone who hates me for all that. It was a long time ago and I don’t do it anymore, promise.

So it was with great anticipation and some little trepidation that I waited until after completion of my missionary service to apply my interpretation of that revelatory experience.

I had never met another vegetarian at that time and at that time had done little to no actual research on diet, so for several years my version of a vegetarian diet was not the healthiest – though it was vegetarian. (mostly french toast and peanut butter sandwiches)

Over the years, my reasons for being vegetarian have changed many times, but for many, likely most of the years at this point, what I felt “God” had to say about it was a very important part of my perspective, though I was fortunate to have a “God” who jived well with modern science, and most importantly, with my personal views, which, were, to be fair, (to me, ok) based on the words (scripture to me) that I had “supposed” at the time to be actually dictated by that very “God” that knew best.

And, to me, some of the most interesting discoveries I have made about diet were the result of trying to understand “why” it would be important to my “God” to have things that way, and as I stepped forward, as with all my scientific, business or personal ventures, the path did in fact appear. Always.

STEP FORWARD – PATH APPEAR.

My wife was mostly vegetarian when we met which diet she arrived at also by revelation and became fully vegetarian when we started dating. From that point her 4 children also became full vegetarians.

My 1st daughter was vegetarian from conception. Our daughter together (my 2nd) was also vegetarian from conception. Our diet then was what is termed lacto-ovo, which means that we still used eggs, butter, cheese and milk. The adults also consumed copious amounts of refined sugar, (we were sugar addicts) while discouraging sugar use among the children.

Around September of 1986, our entire family became vegan, also completely eliminating refined sugar. We drove to the the chiropractor's office one morning stuffing down cinnamon rolls and drove home raw food sproutarians!

We were on a 100% raw diet for our first year as vegans and a 90% raw diet for a second year. We stayed on a vegan (though mostly cooked) diet for the ensuing years although it often included very unhealthy elements like diet soda, and during my occasional relapses, beer, pot and cigarettes.

Just as a side note, once I recognized and understood my emotional triggers and admitted to myself that I was truly an addict, and quit these drugs because I wanted to and not just to please God, I was finally able to leave these destructive behaviors behind for good.

I still enjoy an occasional beer as a social refreshment. (I don't think a couple beers on a Sunday afternoon are really going to damage me)

I accidentally got a fish burrito once and ate some of it before I realized what I thought was tofu wasn’t – and apparently, that minor deviation didn’t kill me either.

I believe life should serve you, not you be the servant to it.

At any rate, our vegan diet was not always as healthy as we wish it had been, and it is important to point out that when you have cleansed your body from all the old mucus and decomposed meat (30 – 50 lbs in the colon of the average American) you are much more prone to be affected by new toxins added to your system as the mucus and other dried crud is no longer present to deter absorption. I will address acid diet factors in the second part of this response.

Of my six children, my oldest was semi-vegetarian until age 5 (when his mother and I married - 1984). He had one cavity in one baby tooth and one cavity in an adult tooth which developed after he took control of his own diet at about age 17 and while still vegan, lived essentially on chips, salsa and diet coke. (a very acid diet) At 21, he has yet to develop further carries, and his diet has improved considerably also.

A daughter, also semi-vegetarian until age 2 had no cavities at all until age 18 when after several years of drug use and a chip and soda and cigarette diet she also developed one cavity. Her twin developed her one and only cavity at age 17 from braces rubbing through her enamel.

Another daughter who was vegetarian from conception but who’s mother (not my current wife) smoked and drank a pint of brandy daily during pregnancy and lactation (fortunately her milk dried up after two months) developed one cavity in a baby tooth at about age 9. Now at age 21 she has yet to develop any further carries.

The other two children, one from my wife’s first marriage and one from our marriage (vegetarian from conception and vegan from age 3 months) have at current ages of 25 and 19 had no dental carries of any type. (2005)

So what’s the point? Well, it’s a good one and very interesting data to find in such a small sample.

These children come from three different parent/genetic combinations. My wife had at least 20 cavities as a child and teen and three as an adult (two during the last 14 years as a vegan) and I had also at least 20 cavities as a child including one root canal as a young adult and probably 2 or three cavities and one more root canal as an adult after becoming vegetarian, one of the cavities after becoming vegan 19 years ago. [Note: now in 2005 I still have had only the one cavity since giving up sugar and dairy in 1986]

So I cannot attribute the lack of carries to genetics, especially as the other two parents involved had similar dental histories to mywife's and mine - typical to the standard American meat and sugar diet. I know that the difference was in diet and our cavities as vegans were probably most attributable to daily diet soda in our diet. (an addiction which we have finally and thankfully eliminated) We are now back on a mostly raw diet (about 90% raw in summer and 75-80% raw in winter) and very happy about it. Our children are also following about a 75% raw diet. We are still working to improve the quality of both the cooked and raw portions.

I also should mention that I have been using only distilled water for drinking and cooking since 1978 and we have stoutly refused to have fluoride applied to our families’ teeth, nor have we used fluoride toothpaste. Once our dentist realized we had the healthiest mouths in his practice, he decided to start admiring us and quit fighting with me about his perceived need for fluoride.

While initially I knew no other vegetarians, over the years I have been able to meet many vegetarians and vegans. One thing that seems to be common among them all is good dental health both for adults and children. I can only conclude that Diane’s case is not typical for vegans, nor does it sound typical for non-vegans either. While I can allow that her children’s dental problems might very likely be related to some dietary deficiencies, it is also quite likely that there were other genetic or food quality factors that should be considered.

I have not read Dr. Price’s book nor have I seen his video, but I have read the articles on his webpage that seemed to relate exactly to Diane’s claims against veganism and for animal fat as relates to dental health. I would like to point out that while old truth is no less true because it is old, still Dr. Price was publishing in the 1930’s and there is much more current research that repudiates some of his premises and conclusions.

In many cases, he (and others) begin with a faulty premise and then reach an erroneous conclusion based on that false premise. They also may reveal many good and true findings. I’m sure Dr. Price was sincere, but the value of animal products was one of his errors.

While visiting the Price-Pottenger webpage I read an article entitled “Butter, Vitamin E and the ‘X‘ Factor of Dr. Price” by Royal Lee.

About Royal Lee, the article states:

Dr. Royal Lee - scientist, inventor and nutrition researcher - is probably best known as the founder of Standard Process Laboratories, which specializes in the formulation of natural vitamins derived from food sources.

This article, from the Lee
Foundation for Nutritional Research, comes from the collection of Joseph Connolly, late husband of Patricia Connolly and one of the founders of the Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation.

Since one of Diane’s claims for the necessity for animal fat in the human diet is the presence of the mysterious X Factor (!!) and this article addressed the X Factor, I am assuming that the conclusions reached in this article will represent to a fair degree the contention that animal fat is desirable and essential.

The author certainly makes that case, as he presents butter as the cure for many ills and suggests that his case for butter over oleo (this paper is essentially an attack on oleo) in addition to the dangers of additives, rests primarily on the value of vitamin E. Lee goes on to report on what he considers the failings of tocopherol (common vitamin E) since it is he claims only the protective factor (preventing rancidity) and not the active factor in wheat germ oil (the primary source for vitamin E then and probably still today). He touts what he calls vitamin F, which is the entire oxidizing agent from wheat germ oil and also containing vitamin E (the tocopherol).

Lee says in part:

The fact that an unsaturated fatty acid as vitamin F is a part of the E complex, probably in molecular combination, explains the close relationship between the two vitamins in their synergistic support of cell division in reproduction, in maintenance of epithelium (where cell division is also predominant), and in kidney and liver metabolism, both epithelial activities. It explains the fact that both are factors in calcium metabolism, vitamin E deficiency resulting in bone resorption, just as vitamin F deficiency results in less calcium available to bone.

The crime of using oleo (margarine) as a butter substitute Lee claims is:

The penalties for using a synthetic, imitation, chemically embalmed
substitute for butter seem to be quite drastic. Some appear to be:

1.Sexual castration for the growing child, in more or less degree, with oversized females fatter and taller than the boys. (Remember, meat animals are castrated for the purpose of making them fat.)

2.Loss of ability to maintain calcified structure such as teeth and bones. Dental caries, pyorrhea, arthritis, etc., would be logical end results that
would inevitably follow, especially in view of the added influence of other refined and devitalized foods. Dr. Price’s experience in curing arthritis, dental diseases and lowered resistance with good butter directly bears out this conclusion.

3.Evidence is accumulating to show that multiple sclerosis is a result of deficiencies in which vitamin E complex (as found in butter) is vitally
involved. Further, vitamin E is now found to be a remedy for the disorders of menopause, showing how these deficiency diseases follow their victim through life.

Now, I have to at this point agree that margarine is simply not good food and probably if one had to make a choice between “pure” butter and margarine he should choose butter.

I say this after having rejected butter as a vegetarian and using margarine for many years. I am very glad to be free from both butter and margarine now.

The fact that margarine is bad for your health does not automatically mean that butter is good for you.

As Lee (quoting Dr. Price) lays into margarine for being hydrogenated, he fails to recognize (or acknowledge) that butter is also formed by a process of hydrogenation. That is what all that churning is about and is the only thing that causes oils to solidify.

He also fails to point out the pharmacology of modern dairy farming and butter production. There is so much unnatural life-threatening chemistry in butter that it would make his list of oleo additives look fairly tame by comparison.

So obtaining “pure” butter would be quite a feat.

You would have to get your milk from a cow that fed from the wild and had no human pharmacological intervention whatever. Where do you find that???

I have found since I quit using margarine (and I was quite embarrassed the last few years that I used it) that anything I eat that I feel needs the flavor and texture enhancing characteristics of butter or margarine can be equally obtained and actually improved on by the use of pure cold pressed (unhydrogenated) olive or flax oil. A little salt may be added for taste, but I never feel the need to do so. [and an occasional taste of the “bad stuff” won’t kill you either!] Note: Do not cook with flax oil.

But, we haven’t said much about the notorious X Factor that Diane made reference to that you supposedly can only get from animal fats and will die and/or lose your teeth without.

Again from Dr. Lee:

...A factor in young grass is apparently the same one as described by Dr. Weston A. Price, in the second edition of his book, Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, which he called “Activator X” and was found only in butter from cows fed spring grass.

“Activator X” seemed very susceptible
to oxidation, being lost in the butter within a few months after its production. “Activator X” was shown to promote calcification and health of bones and teeth in human patients. It inhibited the growth of the caries bacillus (facto-bacillus acidophilus) completely, one test showing 680,000 salivary bacterial count before the use of “Activator X” and none after.

Dr. Lee seems to be trying to say that the vitamin E in butter (or vitamin F) is equal to this X Factor (or Activator X) taught by Dr. Price.

It seems to serve the same functions and the way that this X Factor gets into butter, but not into oleo, is through the grass that the cows eat.

The fabulous X Factor is not truly an animal product found only in animal fat, but is in reality a plant product, only found in animal fat because the animal ingested the plant containing it.

Of course the grass the cow was eating was wheat grass. (all our grains are grass seeds)

I would say that the same benefit to teeth et.al. would be obtained by eating wheat germ, wheat germ oil, wheat grass juice, and likely many other grasses and their products and some algaes.

Passing our X Factor through the cow before we eat it only degrades the quality of the nutrition and does nothing to enhance it. Animal fats are extremely toxic and are reservoirs of accumulated poisons and pharmaceuticals.

While I am sure Dr. Lee was quite sincere in his fear of oleo, I suspect he had no access to research into butter and its constitution or perhaps he would have made the logical conclusion that we should simply get our vitamin E (F)/Factor X from the same place the cow gets it – GRASS.

His analysis of bacterial counts fails to mention the fact that those bacteria thrive in an acid environment and are less present in a more alkaline mouth.

Since butter is typically acid, I have to admit it is a mystery to me at this point how the butter in and of itself could reduce the bacterial count, and since we really are, in America a butter laden society, I wonder just how many pounds of butter a day would one have to eat, since millions of American butterballs are making dentists rich every day.

In his article he gives 14 textual references all from papers delivered between 1914 and 1949. While there is no problem with old truth, the research into vitamins and the dangers of meat and associated animal products had hardly begun by 1950.

There were practical researchers, like Dr. Ehret who’s observational conclusions have been proven over and over by modern science but the actual laboratory analysis of the dangers in production animal chemistry had simply not been done.

Many of Lee’s conclusions are highly speculative and simply not scientific, speculation being an important but a first step only in the scientific process.

Another article on the Price-Pottenger Website is:

Acid-Base Balance of Diets Which Produce Immunity to Dental Caries Among the South Sea Islanders and Other Primite Races by Weston A. Price, DDS, MS, FACD (Read before the New York Dental Centennial Meeting, New York, N.Y., December 4, 1934; reprinted from the Dental Cosmos for September 1935.)

In this article, Dr. Price visits many primitive cultures and compares carries from the indigenous diet and the modernized diet and he finds that the modern diet produces much more carries. He also compares the acid/alkaline construction of the food sources and finds no relationship supporting less carries due to alkalinity in diet.

Not only has modern research completely confirmed the acid – carries connection, but also here is another case of wrong conclusions arrived at because of a faulty premise. Dr. Price simply did not have sufficient understanding of the acid/alkaline balance within the food products themselves, nor did he apparently understand the changes that take place during digestion that allow some semi-acid foods to become alkaline in the body.

But his major faulty premise, to me, is the one where he sees a lower carries rate on the indigenous diet, which happened to include some animal products as proof that animal products enhance carries immunities of some sort.

Certainly, the modernized diet also contained animal fats, surely much more of them. Why was the immunity not improved even more as more cooked and animal food was added and raw plants were eliminated?

To me it is the only logical consideration that it was the elimination of raw alkaline plant food that increased carries.

Still the major flaw in Dr. Price’s proof against alkalinity and for animal products is that he failed to consider (faulty premise) that it could be possible to have NO CARRIES AT ALL and that the lower incidence of carries was NOT animal fats improving the immunity to carries, but rather was the cause of it.

Modern research would conclude that in the total absence of animal products in the diet, the bulk of the plant diet being eaten raw, there would be no carries.

I am a little surprised to see this paper even included on the website, but I suppose that Dr. Price’s research among the natives was a major part of his work.

I may also point out that world travel and observational study of distant cultures was kind of a hobby for many doctors of Dr. Price’s time. There really was no hard science being done from the back of the camel or canoe.

I actually found the evidence Dr. Price presented here to be a bit embarrassing, as it really did not support any legitimate conclusions. His report about the Eskimo is completely contrary to current understanding of the effects of an all meat diet on that culture.

I am sorry that Diane allowed these reports to move her away from a better diet, or the beginnings of one. I am sure that there is a much better explanation for her children’s problems than the supposed deficiency in veganism.

If one does not understand the science behind food, even a vegan diet can fail to promote health. Unfortunately, a meat diet is guaranteed to prevent health. And contrary to Dr. Price’s preference, acid/alkaline balance is an essential part of understanding diet and creating healthy bodies.

Best wishes,

Dr. Gregor Lowrey

Cancer Cured!

By Reverend Dr. Gregory Lowrey
Healer, Advisor, CEO - UBU Ministries

While I consider that I have been blessed with a gift for healing, which I have developed through study and application I have to admit that the cure for cancer - a case of which I was recently blessed to be able to cure - is one that does not require any particular healing practice or gift.

Medical Science claimed long ago (1935 actually) that cancer cannot exist in an acid environment.

So it is amazing (and somewhat disgusting) to me that cancer still is a problem since acidosis is not the natural human condition. A pH of 7.0 (neutral) to 7.1 (slightly alkaline) is normal.

Unfortunately, all processed foods (and dare I say animal products) produce an unnatural and acid body environment. (Sadly, you can cure cancer without becoming vegetarian - I wish I could say it weren't so)

Also, almost all people are deficient in acid balancing minerals such as calcium. (this is especially bad since calcium is required for over 70% of our metabolic processes to function properly)

Because of this almost every patient I have tested since 1978 has had a pH in the 4 - 6 range.

Generally people who have a pH in the 3 range are either already dead or so close to it that they are not traveling around to see weirdo healers like me - and unfortunately, by the time they have acidosis to that severe degree, there often is not time enough to reverse the condition before they die.

The lower the number (the more acid your system is) the sicker you feel. Hmmmmm........almost makes sense - doesn't it!

Well, really, it makes heck-o-sense and it is a shame that people are sick and dying all over the place when the problem and solution are so simple and available - and ignored by the very medical science that proved it true nearly 100 years ago.

Well, I hate to say it, but if we got rid of cancer, how would Doctors make their boat payments?
I know we would all be sad about that.

Ok, that was a little mean. I promise to talk to God about it later. (but I won't edit it out, so please forgive me for letting a little ugly truth slip out there)

So, back to the nice kind of truth. (for which I hope to be better known)

A simple pH test (properly performed) will indicate if your body is a candidate for degenerative diseases and also reveal the degree of degeneration to expect.

Of course, you don't have to "expect" too much since symptoms of acidosis are almost always already present.

Calcium supplementation is a problem since almost all of the promoted sources fail to provide calcium in a manner acceptable to absorption into the cell.

In my 30 years of research I have found two primary sources for calcium that can be proven to change the body's pH from acid to alkaline.

These two sources are alfalfa and powdered coral calcium.

So, now that I have raised this issue, I suppose I should try to make as brief a statement about why this is so as I can. (hard for me to be brief)

The main issues in the uptake of minerals (or any other nutrients for that matter) into cells is 1) desirability to the cell or a deceptive similarity to something to desirable to the cell, (and that is bad) and - (our issue here) - 2) particle size small enough to pass through the opening that allows entrance to the cell.

This opening is guarded by a single rotatable protein molecule which after somehow determining (presumed) desirability, will rotate to allow an opening for the product to enter.

Under normal circumstances, only plants have the ability to break the strong ionic bond in minerals (as opposed to an easily broken covalent bond in soft tissue) to reduce particle size to the level that can fit through the cell opening.

For example, a popular multi-mineral supplement produced (under various labels) here in Washington County, Utah (coal country) is made by taking mineral laden shale and soaking it in 55 gallon drums of distilled water for several days.

The water is then drained and filtered through (I can't recall exactly - a one or ten micron filter) to eliminate large (but still invisible) particles - and then the water is sold as a mineral tonic while amazingly, the original shale has lost no mass at all - it still weighs the same!

What this means is that the minerals that the distilled (highly magnetically attractive) water attract are essentially dust and loosely attached ions (ion means - very small particle) that are present on the exterior of the shale.

These ions are small enough to enter the cell and thus produce the desired effect.

The same is true with coral calcium. Some companies simply collect coral sand (from the beaches of Okinawa only) and package that for sale. You drop the little bag into water and it creates a mineral (high in calcium) drink.

I found however that this method did not produce enough minerals (especially calcium) to produce the effect I wanted in the human body which was to reverse acidosis.

I left the sand in distilled water for two years and ended up with exactly the same ammount of sand that I started with.

Again, it was the free ions (dust) clinging to the sand that was picked up by the water that was providing all the benefit and the bulk of the material was of no value itself due to the strong molecular (ionic) bond and this is the problem with most mineral supplements, the particles are just to large and the bond is too strong to get into the cell.

Compounding the problem with minerals is that the cells are still calling out for them even when they are surrounded by just what they need - but it can't get in because it is too big for the door.

So what happens is the minerals collect around the site where they are needed and bony (actually rocky) growths begin to form and we find we have arthritis and bone spurs and such from the accumulation of minerals that we desperately need but have ingested in an unusable particle size. Kinda sucks, huh!

One nice thing about this is that distilled water often alone is sufficient to remove these deposits, and while it can't make them small enough to get into the cell, it will carry them out of the body and spurs and arthritic deposits magically dissolve and the pain goes away - a miracle - of basic science!

So, when you get minerals, you have to be sure that they are already broken down to ions or at least colloids (also meaning "very small") so that they can do their job. This is why powdered calcium (from a non-plant source) can have value, but non-powdered calcium does not.

As far as plant sources, the particles will be small but the mineral has to be available in the soil that the plant was grown in or it just doesn't have it. You can look at geological survey maps (online even) that will show you the mineral content of every acre of land in the country.

The nice thing about alfalfa is it sends it's roots down as far as 100 ft. so while plants with shorter (4 to 8 inch) root systems grow in mineral depleted soil, the alfalfa is able to send it's roots down deep where many minerals are still available.

Why the coral calcium is better than say dolomite or some other mineral (rock) source, I don't really know (I have a few guesses) but, what I do know is that from my own 30 years of clinical research, the coral calcium powder (it's in capsules) does the job of reversing acidosis and it's symptoms - including Cancer.

Ok, back to Cancer.

My recent cancer patient (and I can hardly call him a patient since all I did was send him to the health food store for coral calcium) was in total remission of his leukemia in less than 6 weeks.

His cancer specialist can't explain it and was just about to start medical treatment, which the fear of drove him to seek out my advice.

Didn't need the treatment, cancer is gone.

I'm just so amazed that I tell people I heal cancer and no one seems interested!

I think that is just plain weird.

Don't you want to be well????

Well, it's a mystery to me!

It's like that old Doors song, "People are strange, and some are even stranger."

I also actually heal people of practically all other ailments.

If you are interested in avoiding surgery, joint replacement, mental incarceration, or death - why not get a hold of me about it and see if maybe you could be the one person in 30 years that I am not able to heal.

Or, maybe you'll be just like everyone else and get healed.

That would be terrible!
